Lithograph in colors and collage, 1984, signed in pencil, dated, titled and annotated "A.P.", an artist's proof impression aside from the numbered edition of 60, on Arches paper, the collage elements consist of approximately ten fabric pieces (see note below) as well as approximately six photolithographic pieces, all affixed to the three-color lithographic background, published by Graphicstudio, University of South Florida, printed at Topaz Editions, Tampa; some very slight foxing along the lower sheet edge but otherwise in very good condition

In "Children of Paradise", Schapiro directly uses the collage approach in printmaking that she had developed in the 1970s in her paintings and collages, described by her as 'femmages' - using objects and techniques traditionally associated with women and women's work.
Schapiro brought fabric samples with her to Florida when working on the two prints she produced at Graphicstudio in 1983/84, and also used fabrics that she found on searches around Tampa with the help of USF students.
