COLETTA MARTIN
Coletta Martin was born in Cincinnati in 1923, and studied at the Art Academy of Cincinnati.
Her work, frequently bold, large-scale paintings and fabric collages, was included in the 1974 exhibition "AIGA/Color" at the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, and a solo show was held at the Cincinnati Art Museum in 1975.
In 2006 Martin's work was included in the Contemporary Art Center of Cincinnati's wide-ranging exhibition "Graphic Content: Contemporary and Modern/Art and Design", which also included the work of artists and designers such as Charley Harper, Malcolm Grear and Noel Martin.
Her work is in the collection of the Cincinnati Art Museum and numerous other institutional and corporate collections.
Coletta Martin died in 2013.
